Cyber48 - by Tim Mumby
Dream it.
Designed and built by Australian, Tim Mumby. The Cyber 48 is constructed of 5083 Marine Grade Aluminum. Tough and stiff for blue water sailing, yet aluminum is flexible enough to withstand impacts without rupture, more so than steel and definitely more than fibreglass. Designed for bluewater performance and safety.
Build it.
The build and fit out process normally taking 2 years, is in Cebu, Philippines. Local workers and craftsman are well trained and supervised to produce an outstanding quality of finish to this amazing machine.
Sail it.
This is a true bluewater design, built lightly and strongly. Narrow hulls, high bridgedeck clearance, flexible sail plans and light weight means averaging more than 200nm a day is the norm. You’ll be sailing in 5kts of wind, or trying to slow it down above 15kts of wind.
This is one of those rare designs…
“a sailors cat”
…a fast passage maker.
